Isinda Fallen Dagger by Rhett C. Bruno
“The majestic land of Isinda is trapped in an era of war and chaos. After the collapse of the mighty Deimor on the bloody fields of the Badlands, a glimmer of peace and unity amongst the warring races has shattered. The people of all kingdoms have retreated...

In the Hands of the Amazon Gods
Yes, I finally finished the line edit. I’ve submitted the files, and am supposed to get a review authorization within 24-48 hours. Assuming I didn’t muff any of the requirements, I’ll order the proof, read through to make sure I didn’t screw up any thing for the print. And then viola, you will be able to order. (Yeah!)
Amazon wouldn’t let me make the price $14.99 for...

Editor's Mixed Review
Destiny is a fun read, but the initial reaction is that it lacks some cohesion in the voice. Not a major setback, but it looks like Cid and I will be having some conversations about how to remove any confusions. Xanatos is undergoing a personality change, and the whole conflict of having two minds in one body is definitely an issue at this point in the story. I’m confident we’ll be...
Destiny Prologue
It was a pure white room.
Two figures stood in heated argument, both in tight, short trunks; also white. Though this place had no temperature – there wasn’t any air – the argument was feverish, irrational, personal.
“It’s not that simple,” said the tall one, his normally measured voice cracking under the strain of this unending struggle.
“No, it’s very simple, Legion,” the young one, his body...

Movement
Chapter 13 is done, finally. Had a weird hiatus of sketching before I could move forward. And I’m halfway through 14. Going to need to really think hard about how much back story is needed. Cid was telling me the failing point of a lot of book twos is going way to in depth into the myth of the world instead of focusing on the current story. But Forgotten was purposefully silent on history,...

Halfway
I don’t remember this point in writing Forgotten. I think the middle bit just blurred together because the turning point in the story wasn’t until Ch. 16. Wasn’t even sure I’d done the breaks correctly because I changed my notebook size and lost the page for page approximation. Seems I have a good sense for the length of 7,000 words or twenty pages. Yeah me. Spending a...

– Xanatos quoting Dave, Destiny
I like it when we agree.
You should have cut off my head.
– Xanatos to ——-, Destiny
Honestly, my favorite Xanatos quote to date. Hugely cool moment too.

Destiny Update
I really thought I could do this book faster. The good news is that I’m confidently working on the soundtrack to it on my iTunes. That usually means I’m almost complete on the details, the ups and downs. So far, I’m into chapter three and my editor didn’t have more than a few changes to the first two. It feels like I’m going to get it going here. Over the next few...
New adult? Postadolescent? WTF?
mfred:
Apparently, there is a new genre being built called “New Adult”. For 20-26 year olds, with “more mature writing and ideas, but not full on adult stories.”
See (W)ords and (W)ardances - New Adult
Here’s another explanation:
But what about “postadolescent” fiction? That’s a bit harder to articulate. We, the “new adults”, have some perspective on our lives, but scope? We’re not old...

…I think I will actually publish Destiny in book form. The Createspace plan isn’t wonderful, but it’s comparable to what a regular publisher would pay, and they allow me to set my own price. So I’ll re-release Forgotten and then put out Destiny shortly after. Of course that means I have to finish Destiny, but the wheels are turning now. Wish me luck on another FaceBook...
